Mother’s Tears

She exhaled flames
She sweated tears
She coughed up oil
She tasted death
And noise she heard

This is how our mother is nursed
But thank God we have been warned
That pestilence will stalk the darkness
Plagues will destroy midday
And arrows will fly by day

For it is written that he desires mercy and just
But really all we see is envy and lust
It is sad to say goodbye
My heart really does cry

But have you noticed
How most of our goodbyes
Have turned shoulder blades into wings
And a soul fluttered a pretty new beat

Be sustainable. Think sustainable.
Be conscious. Gain knowledge.
