One Last Time

Just as one forcefully blows the smoke
The actions he did started to push her astray
Her parting was just as the smoke,
Gentle and softly drifting, following the flow of the unknown

So just as the wax melts before the fire
The love she had for him surely did the same
Slowly, she started to burn away

She tried to stay
She wanted to stay
But her heart which was once gold was vigorously being burnt, turning into nothing but void

She had to go
She finally did let go
She broke the chains

And as she wept, elbows to her knees, hands on her face, back crippled outwards
Her wings began to unfold

She looked back one last time, with tears in her eyes she blew him one final kiss, fluttered her wings, and off she flew gliding amongst the mist

Into the unknown was her last known place

“A bird sitting on a tree doesn’t worry about the branch breaking, because its trust isn’t on the branch but on its own wings”
Charlie Wardle

No matter how tough, don’t forget you were born with wings.

Trust yourself more.
Love yourself more.
