Your presence makes her fragile
But your soul keeps her strong
You’re a heavy liability
Yet again, you give her stability
A goodbye is all she needs
Just for her to start to bleed
But a kiss is what she wants
For the answer to her response
With one arm
You hold her tight
With one word
You keep her safe
As she holds your hand
You help her to understand
That even as the wind may blow
It will never stop her glow
Under a tree, on the grass
She sits and wonders
Under a tree, on the grass
She lays and ponders
The smell of the fresh falling rain
Helps keep her pain away
The smell of the returned falling rain
Helps your mind perform a play
Under a tree, on the grass
She sits and wonders
As your smile creates a thunder
She glances and wonders
Alone they walked the delicate unknown
Together now, they continue their walk…
Under a tree, on the grass, she asked her mother
“Mum, did you always know that dad would help you create me?”
Her mum smiled and replied
“No one knows that anything is for certain besides God, but little missy, what we did know was that we had to always live in the present moment because the past no longer existed and the future is uncertain…
So the magic ingredient to life my girl is to always live in that rich present moment.
Daddy and I knew we would have our differences as we had separate lives but we knew that we wanted to share every present moment together, which then led us to you.”
With a cheeky wink, she kissed her forehead.
The little girl glanced up and said,
“I’m so happy mummy to be in this present moment with you, under a tree, on the grass”
